UFPI Strategic Alternatives

The fall of 2025, five our our members created and worked with a partnered investment bank to create a strategic advisory deck. Those project analysts then traveled to New York City to present the final product and recieve feedback for next years project.

Each semester, our sophomore analysts split into two teams and complete a full sell-side M&A deal simulation. They created a teaser, a full valuation model, and a CIP that mirrors real investment banking work.

We’re excited to share one of this semester’s completed presentations. Both teams put in outstanding effort and showcased impressive technical and analytical skills throughout the process. We’re proud of the high level of work our analysts continue to produce.

Spring Research Project

We’re pleased to unveil our spring research project with Vestra Advisors! IBG members researched the Modular Constuction industry over the course of the spring 2025 semester.

IBG’s Vestra Team sharpened their core skills in preparation for upcoming summer analyst internships by drafting pages, analyzing data in Excel, and turning comments provided by Vestra Advisors.

Point72 Stock Pitch

We’re proud to highlight the impressive work of four members from IBG who represented us in the 2025 Point72 Fall Stock Pitch Competition.

Despite a 12-slide limit and a required focus on artificial intelligence integration, the team delivered a thoughtful, well-researched pitch that showcased exceptional analytical depth and creative thinking.

Summer Alumni Report

We’re pleased to unveil our first ever alumni deliverable! Over the last three years, IBG has helped land ~55 students in investment banking roles, partnered with both boutique investment banks and Wall Street Prep to elevate analyst training, and redefined internship preparation by incorporating projects and deal simulations. Our mission is to exponentially increase Hokie representation on Wall Street and strengthen the pipeline of top-tier talent - we believe the early success of IBG is just the beginning.
